Overlooking the hall courtyard and with south facing views of the lakes and pastures, is Colston Cottage, a charming detached country cottage which provides self-catering accommodation for up to seven people.

Inside, you'll find a cosy mixture of the old and new.

Exposed beams, wonderful old bracing joists in the eaves, a bedroom converted from the old overhanging hayloft, combine with a well furnished lounge with television and CD player, and a fully equipped kitchen/diner with patio doors onto the garden. You’ll find everything provided - freezer, fridge, hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave and telephone, plus a utility room with washing machine and tumble drier. Electricity and heating are included in the price.

Upstairs are comfortable double, twin and single bedrooms, with the main bathroom. There is a further ground floor bedroom with ensuite shower room. Bed linen is provided.

Outside, an enclosed garden with lawn, patio, barbecue and garden furniture provide a place simply to relax and enjoy the Suffolk sun.

We have now added Shepherds Rest [sleeps 6], Carpenters Cottage [sleeps 6], and Wheelwrights [sleeps 4] to our self-catering accommodation. These are high quality conversions which include ensuite bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens.
